Thank you. there are three discussion groups that I can recommend.
For Facebook users, there are two closed groups where membership must be requested and approved by a moderator. The “Breaking the Vicious Cycle” SCD group is the largest SCD Facebook group, moderated by highly responsible folks. If you are the parent of a child with IBD, there is a pediatric SCD group, SCD Families, that I moderate. It is focused on the specific challenges of raising children on SCD. SCD Families only accepts parents of children and teens with a medical diagnosis of IBD.
If you are not a Facebook user, there is a Yahoo discussion board moderated by one of the top SCD experts, BTVC-SCD with over 10,000 members that you can sign up for.
Those should be fine to get you started.
